城事，我们自己的故事

“古人用《山海经》把自己不能理解的通过神怪的形式表达出来，我希望可以用通过舞蹈音乐，把自己不能理解的情绪表达出来，让观众自己体会。”

《城事》CITY&US 舞蹈音乐剧场由金星 X 冯伟联合出品，现代舞者汪涛与当代古典演奏家果酱四重奏共同出演。这是一场将现代舞与弦乐四重奏进行全新的跨界结合，也是一项关于城市情绪表现形式的艺术试验。
可能在大众眼里，这样的艺术形式并不多见，所以需要在宣传阶段就让大众理解我们在说什么，而视觉是第一观感。于是就有了我们和城事CITY&US的合作。
当接到主题海报设计任务时，我们其实很忐忑。关于艺术活动的设计，很难把控那个最好的尺度。创作者与大众对主题的理解，各有千秋。
你要用视觉去建造一个可到达的点，将创作者的思想情怀凝练总结，并准确传达给大众。
但在正式设计之前，我们需要做一件非常重要的事情——尽可能多去了解这个事情，消化它所有的寓意。
接到剧组的邀请，我们作为第一批观众，通过排练现场，深入欣赏到了《城事CITY&US》的魅力。
当我们听到几位充满思索的回答后，有些说不清的东西好像在脑里灵光一现。《城事CITY&US》是属于每个人的，是情绪化的，是碎片化的。
《城事CITY&US》是用舞蹈和音乐，将城市里人们支零破碎的情绪放大，让大家走进生命内核，进行感性思考。而我们用视觉去传递这些内容，所以，最终创作出这样的主视觉。
最后定稿的是，最能平衡商业和艺术的这一版本。以字形笔画分离，有虚有实，创造零落情绪朦胧感。
《城事CITY&US》的演出很成功，人们带着自己或多或少的感悟从这里离开，而我们也用视觉表达我们对《城事CITY&US》的理解。如果说共鸣是成功的衡量标准，我想我们做到了。

City & Us is a Jin Xing X Feng Wei musical featuring modern dancer Wang Tao and contemporary classical performer Jam! Quartet. It is not only a new crossover between modern dance and string quartet but also an artistic experiment on urban emotional expression.
Such a form of art may be rare in the eyes of the public. We need to let the public understand what we’re talking about at the publicity stage, and vision makes the first impression, so there is our cooperation with City & Us.
To be honest, we were unsure when we were asked to design a theme poster. It is hard to get the balance right when it comes to art design, since the creator and the public can have different understanding of one theme.
You must use vision to build a reachable point. At this point, you put the creator’s thoughts and feelings together and convey them to the public accurately.
But before any real design, we have something very important to do, that is, to understand this thing as much as possible and digest all its implications.
At the invitation of the crew, we had a nice look at City & Us as the first audience at the rehearsal hall.
As we heard a few thoughtful answers, some ideas vaguely flashed into our mind. City & Us belongs to everyone. It is emotional. It is also fragmented.
City & Us magnifies the fragmented emotions of urban people through dance and music and allows everyone to approach the core of life and conduct emotional thinking. We convey these things through vision and we finally present a work with such visual impacts.
Our final version is the one that best balances business and art. It separates glyphs and strokes and boasts void and solid, creating a hazy sense of fragmented emotions.
The performance of City & Us was very successful. The audience left with more or fewer feelings. We also visually expressed our understanding of City & Us. If striking a chord is a measure of success, I think we have made it.
